Reaching Out to Black Children Exposed to Violence

This professional development tool is for all professionals and volunteers who work with children and teens, including youth development professionals and volunteers, coaches and recreation program workers, educators and school personnel, juvenile justice and law enforcement personnel, day care providers, youth mentors, and other community members who seek to enhance their understanding of how to help Black children exposed to violence. Use the video and this accompanying Discussion Guide to facilitate a conversation in your program or agency. It can also be used as part of a more comprehensive workshop on children’s exposure to violence and victimization
