Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting: An Under-Recognized Form of Gender-Based Violence in the United States by Sahiyo: United Against Female Genital Cutting

Date: April 15th at 2:30pm EST
Register here.

Silence is an inherent part of this type of gender-based violence (GBV) that can lead to lifelong physical and emotional health consequences. At the core of providing better prevention, protection, health, and social support services for women and girls is stronger data, enhanced research, and community engagement.

This webinar is the second part of a series hosted by SahiyoAPIGBV, and the US End FGM/C Network which explore FGM/C in the United States and its broader connection to gender-based violence. Join us on April 15th to learn about the intervention and community engagement efforts occurring in this country to support survivors, how you can help prevent future generations from experiencing FGM/C, and how COVID-19 has impacted FGM/C and GBV.
