June 8, June 15, and June 22 – 2:00pm to 4:00pm ET

The Intervention Level training is for those individuals who provide youth with ongoing trauma-informed and survivor-centered care. Individuals in the Intervention Level may work with youth in high-risk situations; in a group home setting, with homeless or runaway youth, by providing abuse or trauma services, or by providing psychosocial education.

For individuals in these roles who may work with youth who have experienced sex trafficking or who are at risk for experiencing sex trafficking, it is important to determine if the youth is in imminent danger and to develop comprehensive safety plans and make appropriate referrals.

This series of webinars will provide an overview of the screening tool for youth sex trafficking and steps for creating a safety plan. We will explore how to respond during a crisis, methods for engaging youth who may be, or may be at risk for being, trafficked, mandated reporting, and focus on safety planning and making appropriate referrals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify the steps in the safety PLAN
  • Participants will be able to identify 3 organizations to which they can make appropriate referrals
