Special Events and Projects Internship
Description

The intern reports to a staff member on the Special Events and Projects team. This internship includes working on a number of programs, including the National Training Institute (NTI), MacArthur Safety & Justice Challenge (SJC), and the National Crime Victim Bar Association (NCVBA).  More information on each of these programs can be found on the NCVC webpage. We are seeking an unpaid Program Assistant intern to help out with these programs; which can include a number of possible projects such as research for written reports into a variety of victim service related topics, outreach for conference marketing, and development in training materials. This internship provides an opportunity to build your resume with a variety of skills while learning how a non-profit organization that works with those in need operates from the inside

Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning, marketing, and execution of conferences;
  • Assist with membership services;
  • Assist with development of training materials;
  • Assist with databases and administrative work;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Interest in criminal justice reform, nonprofit organizations, legal studies and/or victim issues;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Basic computer skills; web site/html experience beneficial;
  • Cooperative team work style.
