National Center for Victims of Crime Statement on Yesterday’s Violence

Our thoughts are with all the victims of the shootings yesterday, both in Alexandria and San Francisco. Whether a member of Congress or a UPS employee, a victim of domestic violence or a child in elementary school, once and for all we need to address the issue of gun violence. It is time for the country to come together and provide real solutions. We stand with Gabrielle Giffords, and so many others, in calling for unity and courage in taking action to prevent future violence.
