Safety and Justice Challenge
The MacArthur Foundation’s Safety and Justice Challenge (SJC), active in 34 counties and four cities across the country, aims to develop and implement progressive criminal justice reforms to safely reduce jail populations and address racial disparities. As a strategic ally of the Safety and Justice Challenge, the National Center for Victims of Crime seeks to bring victims’ voices to the larger conversation of reducing over-incarceration in the United States.
