We will demystify the function of the CODIS database; review best practices for working cold cases; discuss using DNA in missing persons and trafficking cases; explore crime scene evidence collection and Touch DNA; and discuss innovations in the criminal justice use of DNA such as familial searching and rapid DNA testing.
