National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is just around the corner, from April 19-25, 2026. This year, we’re teaming up with several partner organizations to promote this important annual observance and provide resources for communities all across the United States.

As of mid-January, the federal Office for Victims of Crime had not yet announced an official theme for this year’s NCVRW. Our collaborative effort, however, is promoting the theme CommUNITY!

Organizations can learn more about this collaborative, field-generated National Crime Victims’ Rights Week effort and explore opportunities to participate or serve as sponsors.

You can read more about the history of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week through the Office for Victims of Crime here.

Stay tuned: We’ll keep you posted about new developments and opportunities to help observe this year’s NCVRW.

NCVC has been involved in National Crime Victims’ Rights Week since its inception in 1981. During many of those years, our team produced the official NCVRW Resource Guide and helped develop themes with the Office for Victims of Crime.

Much of the content in the previous years’ guides remains relevant today. Here’s where you can access some previous resource guides:
