NCVC’s Center for Research and Innovation’s (CRI) mission is to synthesize and analyze the information NCVC houses so that we can better understand victimization trends and victim needs. Our goal is to contribute our knowledge to the field of victim services so that we can identify victim needs and assist in enforcement efforts.

The Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) has three main functions:

(1) Provides Program Evaluation & Research Oversight – The CRI seeks out and secures research partnerships with outside organizations; consults on research- and data collection-related issues within NCVC, and provides data analysis and program evaluation for the Center’s programs.

(2) Conducts Original Research – The CRI is in the process of securing grant funding for original research projects; will engage in collection, management and analysis of original data, as well as the analysis of publicly-available data to answer important questions in the field.

(3) Disseminate Findings – The CRI will publish brief reports on NCVC website; submit study results to peer-reviewed journals for publication; present research findings at academic conferences; host or participate in panels and talks.
