Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is an annual global day of generosity the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year Giving Tuesday is November 29, 2022.
The National Center for Victims of Crime needs your support to provide critical support for survivors, to advocate alongside survivors and to grow resources for victims and survivors in their communities.
Why Give Now?
This past year has been an incredibly difficult time for survivors and organizations that work alongside them to provide services.
9,444 Unmet Requests for Services in 2021. These services to domestic violence survivors could not be provided because programs lacked the resources to meet victims’ needs. Approximately 64 percent of these unmet requests were for housing and emergency shelter. (The 16th Annual DV Counts Report (2021)).
14,000 PEOPLE SEEKING SUPPORT
The National Center for Victims of Crime’s national and local helplines: the VictimConnect Resource Center and the DC Victim Hotline, supported over 14,000 visitors by phone, text, or chat in 2021.
14,317 RESOURCES CONNECTED
NCVC’s Tribal Resource Tool, an online mapping tool that connects Native survivors and victims to culturally specific services in their communities, connected over 15,000 survivors in 2021.
With your help, we can expand connections and awareness of services, support providers who work directly with victims and survivors and advocate alongside survivors for needed protections and support.
